This took me quite a while to figure out, and annoyed me immensly, so I'll share my discoveries:

If you're a cheap-[censored] (like me), and you are using a free product, such as Borland C++ make sure that all of the files are put in the correct place. I was having trouble with the example files, because many of the include files were extracted to the /examples directory :rolleyes:

By the way, if anyone knows where to get something better (free of course), tell me laugh

download Bloodshed Dev-C++ . iin my opinion it's the best free windows c/c++ compiler. you can find it at download.com and other sites.
