Ok, my idea to create a fire wire adapter to attach to my Game Cube never got off the ground, however, all is not lost.

This company created an extremely expensive USB 2.0 adapter for a Game Cube, actually this company created a custom Game Cube altogether with double the RAM, not to mention the software also. Meaning dumping the ISO’s of a game onto your computer is extremely easy, and even playing a game off your hard drive is possible. The only setback is that since this device doesn’t use the Game Cubes high speed post, it only has a max read/write rate of 3MB/s or (24 Mbits/s). Not to mention this things hefty price tag ($1000 for the total package).
