Owners of the Nintendo DS handheld gaming system will be delighted to hear that Nintendo has struck a deal to offer free Wi-Fi access to DS owners at participating McDonald's restaurants.

The service is expected to launch on November 14th in the US and November 25th in Europe. Nintendo has paid an undisclosed amount to US firm Wayport to provide the access.

The first games to utilize the online capabilities will be Mario Kart DS and Tony Hawk's American SK8Land, due for release next month, followed by Animal Crossing: Wild World and Metroid Prime Hunters later at the end of this year.
