A pharmaceutical firm in Singapore claims it is ready to market tablets that they tested in Cambodia, which they claim could cure HIV. Herose Pharma International now want to test the tablets in Singapore.

Managing director, Richard Ong said: "We did some testing on AIDS patients in Cambodia in 1998. We found that it is positive ... the patients experienced recovery in their conditions."

The tablets were originally designed to treat psoriasis, which is a skin disorder. Health officials haven't given the company permission to carry out the tests yet.
