Dell Inc has announced that it will not be using AMD chips in any of its products, as corporate consumers don't want it. The COO and president of Dell Inc confirmed that the company will continue to use Intel chips in its PCs, laptops and servers.

Speaking the Graduate School of Business, Kevin Rollins said "If you look at the corporate market, which is where 85 percent of our business is today, the corporate user has not yet found confidence in AMD and so most of the corporations use Intel."

He did confirm, however, that Dell will continue to test every AMD chip in its labratories, including the recently unveiled Opteron 64-bit processor. IBM uses AMD chips, and HP will begin using AMD in its server computers.
