ok when an e-mail is deleeted from outlook express where does it go and how do i get it back
i have judt downloaded directory snoop but i dont know where to look for the deleeted e-mails.
Also i know windows keeps a list of everything you do on your pc , like if you write a word document and i know it is kept in a hidden file and the name of your document is gived a $ at ther beginning of its name but where are these kept ?

Yes, there is a hidden file created with a $ sign when you're editing a word document. However, this file is (usually) deleted when you close out word. It's just a temporary file. This is not the case for every file.

In the case of Outlook, I'm not sure, but it may be possible that you can't get it back. It seems strange that Outlook would store saved emails in such a way that just anybody could go in and read them.

No Outlook does not store copies, or backups of any sorts of deleted e-mails.....

if u didnt delete it that long ago, maybe u could get one of those programs that restores deleted files. It will only work if u can fit it on a floppy or if u get a l33t one u might be able to burn it to a cd. I forget the technical name for one of these programs, sorry. I had one a while ago but i deleted it. Just a suggestion.

thanx for all you help i have been playing around with outlook and directory snoop and they can be retrieved as long as you havent restarted your pc and deleeted more !
