internet explorer help

when i go to type something in a search engine or other text box in internet explorer, a list pops up under it with all the words i've typed in the past that match the letter i started to type. does anyone know how to turn this feature off or if it is even possible to do. thanks

heh, you dont need to mess with the registry! Go to tools, internet options, content, auto-complete, and turn forms off, then clear the forms. I know on Win98 it doesent seem to turn it off though  I have to clear the forms everytime, but it works in XP. SR's fix may help if you run Win98 or have any other problems. L8r
