Hmm what card is this? Sadly not all work. Also do check out if there are linux drivers from the manufactor website... It's confusing, yet it seems like it's already been like setup but just incorrectly, it wants you to almost delete and reinstall properly... Also just for the hell of it maybe you want to upgrade from 6.1 to like 7.0 or even 8.0, it's just works a bit better. I'll try to look into it when I'm not falling sleep or needing more energy drinks.

I dont know if you've solved the problem yet or not, but one thing you might want to try is turning off plug n play in your bios it can cause hardware not to be detected and conflicts with irq's under linux. Then you might need to recompile. You might need to anyways now that you have the new modules installed because they weren't initially installed.

Errr that is the one thing I really hate when I use to be a technician... It's drivers, they can be such a pain in the ass. So ya you can try the kernel, also like I said Distro and version type can make a diff but I know you want to stick with 6.1, yet I've seen and heard of different distros being more compatible with some things then others. I would contact Red Hat or the card manufactors and see what they say. Don't use Tulip, errr ya sry bro, I'll see what I can find tonight.
