An LCD as complex as one that comes on a laptop has it's own processors to decode all the video information specifically for that screen's build. Basically its useless to you. You'd need a PLL (phase lock loop) to multiply the horizontal sync to get a pixel clock (typically at 25 MHz, and 3 x 6 bit (very) high speed ADC's (analogue to digital converters), to convert the analog output into the digital signals for the LCD. There's a lot of issues relating to sync signals (some panels use composite sync) and positioning the image on the display which is no easy task. You need to know the manufactuer an model number of the screen if you expect anything.

More simple LCDs that you would find in calculators are easier to play with and decode the patterns for (reverse engineer)
