Honestly, I think some holidays just shouldn't involve alcohol in any way, that's probably just me though. I'm weird. All about the family and giving the kids good memories and shit. I don't want my kids to have fond memories of me puking my guts out on christmas because of all of those gin and tonics, I'd rather they remember mommy as warm and loving trying to make sure their holidays were as special as humanly possible. That's just me though. Like I said, I'm weird. *shrugs*

lets go thru the year and explain why you can on each one;

New Years: you have to drink to the new year.
Groundhogs Day (Feb 2): Phil the groundhog.
Valentine's Day (Feb 14): have to drink to love or lack of.
Mardi Gras (Feb 28): drinking is the point of this one
St. Patrick's Day (March 17): it's all the Irish do!
April Fool's Day (April 1): to the victory of pissing at least 1 person off
Easter (April 16 or something): Jesus went to heaven so we could. gotta givem props for that.
Cinco de Mayo (May 5): for the Mexicans
4th of July: freedom to say Bush takes it up the ass!
Talk Like a Pirate Day (Sep 19): whiskey! arg!
National German-American Day (Oct 6): Just for Giz
Holloween: gotta wash the candy down with something.
Thanksgiving (Nov 23): here's to the native americans we almost wiped out
Hanukkah: the jews needs something
Christmas(Dec 25): drink to jesus and drink for the presents.
Kwanza (Dec 26): for the black people cause they need something also.

I agree Girlie. But I drink on Christmas cause my mom gets like a bottle from the local winery cause they are friends.

Uh, why do people need an excuse to get drunk? Can't you do it just for the sake of doing it?
