Well, it's been a while since we've had an official open staffing period where we're actively looking for new users to help around here... Since summer is about to begin it's about that time to start looking...

At this time we're looking for news staff, users will be able to post in the "Tech News" section and will be required to post 8 times in a 7 day week period... This isn't difficult as there are an abundance of news sites out there and most users should be able to post 8 stories in one night let alone a week... There is no maximum of stories.

Any users interested must submit a Job Application . All users who have worked as news staff will be first pick of moderation of forums (especially the news forums).

I will be sending out a mailing to all applicants in the database later next month (July).

Actually, there are a few questions I'd like to ask first.
Firstly, I don't believe that this job is paid, but if it is, how much?
Secondly, why do you need my home address and telephone number?

The job is paid with the satisfaction that you've been able to assist a long standing website stay open and active and eventually by learning more than me shoving my boot where the sun doesn't shine...

Because you're given substancial access to the website and can, in all honesty, prune anything on the forums; basically it's a sign of trust as we don't know a thing about you... Also, should you fuck up the website we'd need to know where to send the papers for the lawsuit.

For all appliants, including those in the past, please expect a mailing around the second saturday of June to check to see if you're still interested... If yes then you will recieve posting access to the Tech News forum and, in time, access to the Staff forum. Your direct supervisor is DigitalGeek and any other News Moderators.

So long as you do your job properly for a period of a few months, you will be evaluated and possibly made a moderator of the news forums and will likely recieve access to the VIP Forum.

Tech News; anyone can post in Open News. Additonally, Tech News is relayed to the main site, whereas Open News is currently not (as far as i can recall).

In the application form, what exactly do you mean by 'Sections'?

If you're wanting to moderate, what forum sections (ie, General, off topic, gaming, etc) do you want to moderate...
