Software giant Microsoft has announced that some 18 games will be released for the company's latest console, the Xbox 360, which is due out next week. Standard editions of the Xbox 360 games will retail for US$50, the same as the current Xbox games.

Some 13 Xbox accessories will also go on sale with the console next week. They include faceplates that can be stuck on the front of the 360 for a more personalised look. The company expects to sell 3 million consoles in the US in its first 90 days.

The European release has been set for the 2nd of December, and on the 10th of December, the Xbox 360 will hit the Japanese gaming market.
