On Friday the Tokyo court district ruled that information collected by the FTC Japan must be disclosed so that it may be used in the lawsuit.

Intel downplayed the victory by saying AMD had mischaracterized and exaggerated the impact of the court's ruling. Intel also said it did not fight the ruling so that it could maintain a presence in the Japanese market.

Intel must now take steps to make sure that the anticompetitive practices never happen again to include training the staff in Japan on new procedures. AMD plans to use the information collected in other similar ongoing lawsuits against Intel.
