This is a two year high and could be a threat to economic recovery in the USA. If the prices continue to rise, and it is thought they will, we could see a record fuel price in the States.
A spokesperson for the API, which represents the oil industry, said "We're in the same fix we were in two years ago, and nothing's been done to fix the problems that existed then."
