Polish troops on duty in Iraq have discovered "16 or 17" WMD's, US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has announced. The WMD's are warheads containing either mustard or sarin gas.

The Polish minister of defense told Rumsfeld of the find at the NATO summit held in Turkey last weekend. While the final test results proving they are actual WMD's is pending, Rumsfeld said the troops "believe that they are correct."

Rumsfeld made the announcement to radio talk host Roger Hedgecock. The interview has been transcribed and posted on the website of the Department of Defense.

Warheads containing the deadly agent Cyclosarin were bid on by terrorists at a price of $5,000 each.

Polish Gen. Mieczyslaw Bienike stated "If these warheads, which were still usable, were used on a military base like Camp Babylon, they would have caused unforeseeable damage."

As reported earlier today on SN these warheads were suspected to contain a nerve agent. It now has been confirmed by US experts that they did contain Cyclosarin.

Well I would hardly cal 16 or 17 warheads a big find. I mean yes we now have WMD... But dose 16 or 17 war heads justify over throwing a national leader who did have the involvement in terrorists we thought he did. Do we know for fact that these weren't recently placed there...

I wouldn't be suprised if they were placed there, and I still think Bush is an asshole. I just think it's interesting.

Also, overthrowing a tyrant is never a bad thing. The only reason it was wasteful is because some new tyrant will come around as soon as we leave (right now we're still controlling them). We should have spent our time elsewere.. like Libya. Or heres a thought: FIX OUR OWN COUNTRY!

We put Sadam in power. Actually, he came to power while daddy Bush was head of the CIA. Then desert storm, then WMD search and capture. DOse anyone find this odd?
