Centre for Democracy and Technology, a Washington based civil liberties group is attempting to get details from the attorney general of Pennsylvania about attempts to force providers to block access to illegal content such as child pornography.

The blocks not only prevent access to the illegal sites, but also sites hosted on the same server. Pennsylvania is using a recently passed law that allows it to fine providers $5,000 if they allow access to illegal sites.

Alan Davidson the director of the group said; "It's sort of this weird world where we're not prosecuting the people producing child pornography". Only one provider has so far refused to block a site and has since been ordered by a judge to comply.
