Political cartoonist Garry Trudeau who does the Doonesbury cartoon strip is offering a $10,000 reward for anyone who can prove that President Bush showed for duty with the Alabama National Guard. The comic directs people to a form on Doonesbury.com.

There is a major hitch with the reward money. The winner does not receive $10,000; it goes to the USO in his or her name to entertain troops. The Doonesbury comic strip says Bush's tax cuts have allowed Trudeau to be able to pay for this.

David Stanford, who oversees the web site, says they have seen over 600 answers in three days. He, however, notes they have been getting "accounts that involve automobiles, alcohol, aliens, secret ops and Elvis."
