In a suit that is sealed to the public, comic book giants Marvel, are suing movie giant Sony over licensing of the Spider-Man character which, through Columbia Pictures, made millions of dollars from the movie, based on the comic book characters.

Marvel were quick to point out that they were not trying to put a halt on production of the sequel to last years hit, nor are they trying to change agreements that are already in place.

The public have the right to challenge the sealing of the suit, as per California law, which currently holds no public record of the suit being filed.
