Howard Stern believes that a witch hunt by religious conservatives will force him off the airwaves within 3 months and has urged listeners to vote against President George W. Bush in protest.

The radio star has two years left on his current contract but fears an early retirement following Clear Channel Communications' (major Bush backers) decision to silence him for his risque programme.

He said "The plug is about to be pulled on me. I'm saying my goodbyes now. There's nothing you can do about it ... Vote George Bush out of office. That's all I ask. Remember me when you go to the voting booth."
