American retail giant Wal-Mart announced yesterday that it will be offering up an online music store that is compatible with Windows Media Player. The retail chain has been offering downloadable music since March this year.

The store will offer tracks at 88 cents per song, 11 cents cheaper than current market leader, Apples iTunes. Wal-Mart is one of several to offer music on Microsofts "Digital Media Mall. Microsoft launched its own online music store this week.
