After some considerable debate, the US Postal Service has cancelled its do-it-yourself stamp program.

The program allows people to create their own stamps through a website. Limitations were put on what could be shown on the stamps after website The Smoking Gun was able to put Ted "The Unabomber" Kaczynski on a stamp (reported).

The DIY stamp program is considered a success, as about 100,000 of stamps, or 2 million individual stamps, were created via the program. Stamps.com, which ran the program, urges customers to write in to the USPS to get the program back on.
