MySpace, the popular social-networking site among teens and musicians, has announced that it will be distributing amber alerts among its users, starting today. Amber alerts are issued by police when a child goes missing.

A small box will appear on every MySpace portfolio, on which the user can click to get more information about the missing child and investigation. MySpace is working in cooperation with the Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
