In front of a Senate Judiciary Committee, Alberto Gonzales stated, “There is no expressed grant of habeas in the Constitution: there’s a prohibition against taking it away”. Sen. Arlen Specter(R) was left speechless at the statement.

Gonzolas continued, “The Constitution doesn’t say every individual in the United States or citizen is hereby granted or assured the right of habeas corpus. It doesn’t say that."

"It simply says the right shall not be suspended, except in the case of rebellion or invasion”. Specter shot back, “you may be treading on your interdiction of violating common sense”.

There you have it folks. Right from the man himself. You do not have the right to a trial according to the Bush appointed US Attorney General. The constitutions doesn't say that. Anyone read animal farm? They are taking away freedoms slowly by slightly changing the meaning or accepted meaning of things.

This is a historical event. Americas #1 Lawyer is say Habeas Corpus (the right to a trial) is not in fact a right at all. With out this one right all the others are worthless.

if our founding fathers cold see what this administration has done to our constitution they would kick Bush and Gonzales asses.
