Just a suggestion though. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 955 UGN Super Poster | | UGN Super Poster Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 955 | I believe you program COBOL for Mainframes. We have an AS/400 that we coded COBOL on in mainframe operations. COBOL and JCL is alot of fun and contrary to what some ppl may say, COBOL will be around for a very long time. As far as I am away though, COBOL doesn't run on a PC. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 553 UGN Super Poster | | UGN Super Poster Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 553 | I think it runs on a PC very well. I will study COBOL in school next semester, so I wanted to get ahead of the rest so I d/l Fujitsu Cobol and started working. You can find it here . Then again, I might be wrong. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 955 UGN Super Poster | | UGN Super Poster Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 955 | my bad. sorry bout that. i was way off | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 1,273 DollarDNS Owner | | DollarDNS Owner Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 1,273 | My dad codes in RPG for AS/400 currently. He's got over 10 years in experience in mainframe programming. | | |
