After the American Revolution over one-hundred thousand people fled from a country where there were only about two million. The Cuban revolution was a genuine social revolution, so more people would be at odds with the government. And those that flee ARE formerly rich or those who served in Batista's brutal government and their family members. For most Cubans, the Revolution has given them more than they ever could have come close to possibly getting under the American sponsored corporate-mafia dictatorship.
"The constitutional republic is a dictatorship of our collective exploiters, the social democratic red republic is a dictatorship of their former allies."
