i dunno how many people get annoying sales calls and solicitors from hell or just plain people you dont wanna talk to but i get alot. i got caller ID anon call rejection call blocker all of that crap via the local phone co. its expensive and most of it is real limited to use. caller ID rocks most of the time but the others well.... and it pisses me off to no end to pay to have an unlisted number and still egt the amount of bad calls that we do. i get 35+ calls a week literally and of those maybe 3 people are ones i want to talk to.


so i always wondered if you can set a modem up to answer calls for you and filter them as needed. make it so the thing doesnt even ring unless its from someone on your "accept list". i have seen some software here and there but never really heard of anyone talking about it. i have seen those X rated phone messages and all that crap too kinda funny. would be nice to find something where i can get rid of all these "extra services" and prolly save myself $20 a month on my phone bill.

i have picked up and got in peopels biz about taking my name off their lsit and all that and they dont call back but another goes in their place. i have picked up the phone and just slammed it back down to get it to quit ringing. i turn the ringer off becasue i dont want to hear it then i miss an important call. so you can see its a pet peeve of mine. i tryed to get a new number but thats not happenin.

i've seen those telezaper things they supposidly work lol.... i like to have my way with the telemarketers, they dont call back when i'm done with them.....

Next time you get a call from those bastards, say the following.
You: Yes. I’m interested but I cant talk right at this moment. May I have your home number?
Them: I’m sorry, we aren’t aloud to give our numbers out.
You: OK... so let me get this straight. You can call MY house and f*cking piss the s.hit outta me but I can’t call your house to piss YOU off?!?!
Them: ahhh..... *click* * beeeeeeeeee*

LOL. I got a phoneline in my basement, the number isn't listed. It's just for work, and others to call. However I have so many telemarketers calling me. I had one guy call me 5 times. Here is what I do, I let the answering machine get it. LOL, if it's someone I know I pickup (i'm cheap, my version of caller ID LOL). I got an answering machine with my evil voice I can do going you have reached the Project X labs please state ID, ID number, reason. LOL, scares some people. If I pickup and get a telemarketer I have 2 other plans, I do my evil voice again say crazy things. LOL try and scare them away, or I have the fax or some modem keep dialing LOL while on the phone.... It annoys them. BASTARDS! LOL.

technicaly what your supposed to do is tell them to take your number off of their list. then, if they call you again, its officialy solicitation and you can sue them and **** and get a ****load of money.

yup, if you tell them not to call once youc an sue them for 200 grand :/... god bless america lol...


I have a program called TCID (Talking Caller ID) which talks to you and you can blocknumbers in, so if you're too lazy to play with *60 then thats what you need :x.

*60 doesnt block all numbers its like 1 in 5 or something. i have told a few to take me off their list but who knows if its the same place using a different number calling for a different service. if i can log all the numbers coming in then i can make a report as to who has called more than once then call them back and request to be taken off the list. once all this is documented then let them call again. would be nice to know which lines goto which place too. i know many places have several lines going in..

with as many people that call there is a good chance to get a decent judgment against(sp?) them if a person really wanted to.

that thing about the asking for their home number was funny. it would be cool just to bull**** and social engineer with them for awhile may lead to something but more often than not im not in the mood to bother.

*60 = number block it blocks a number you program in...

i know but not all numbers can be blocked with *60. it seesm about 1 out of every five numbers i try to block will actually be blocked the others get the message " the service is not available with that number" or other error messages.

Here's a note about Telemarketers: Most of the time, they are NOT allowed to hang up on you... so you can piss them off all day long (remember their company is paying the phone bill) and they just have to take it.

If you ask for a telemarkaters number now-adays they give you an 800 number

What you should do is.... when they call you, talk in a foriegn language, sumtimes they dont call back but its still funny to hear them say "Huh? what? I dont understand you sir. lah lah lah".

Here is what ole Learner dose.

1.) act mentaly impaired and scared of the man at the door. If it's a guy keep calling them dad, a woman, mom

2.) Act like I injured myself real bad. Spilled hot coffe on my nuts, fell on a knife use you imagination.

3.) Ask them what they are wearing. Agree to listen to their speech after phone sex. If they threaten leagle, remind them they called you.

4.) Just violently scream cuss words at them. Every time they try to talk tell them to shut the **** up!!! You are tired of this.

5.) Advise then you will be recording this conversation. Ask for their first and last name. Then supervisors. Then tell then you told them to quit calling you and now you are suing.

6.) Keep asking if they have porn for sale, no matter what they are selling.

7.) Ask how babys are made. Tell them you let a girl suck you off.

8.)put the phone next to the toilet and keep flushing it.

9.) Make the lowest base noise you can for as long as you can. Hoooooowwwwwwwwww

10.) Try to sell them your stuff

11.) ask if you can get in trouble for messing with them. When they say yes. Tell them they are a liar and you wana wash their mouth out with soap. Keep calling them a liar everytime they say anything.

12.) let them speak to Mr. Tone.
