guys there seems to be a problem with this Samsung piece o' shit.It reads the disk half & then stops & hangs.Even this OS installation went ok upto 73% & then stopped.Can this be due to my OS or ROM hardware.

have you checked to c if there r any lose connections at the back of the rom drive??
sounds silly but it could just be that.

well i think its more to do with some hardware problem than loose connections.Dont know whats the reason its just driving me crazy.

try updating the drivers for the rom

What manufactuer and model cdrom is it?

Is it with all CDs or just for your OS installation? It could be a corrupt disk, or some software problem during the installation like software hardware conflict that causes the installation to fail. Tell us why your certain its the CDrom.

if it is the OS disk it could be scratched

Well it happens with all disk & not just with OS Disk.Well im sure its a h/w problem coz i tried a diff ROM on my PC & it worked.Well im sending it to the Service Centre;soon ill know the cause.
