Sources in Wellington, New Zealand have said that the city, which is home to Lord of the Rings director, Peter Jackson, could soon be seeing a permanent Lord of the Rings exhibition there, showcasing sets and props from the hit trilogy.

Tourists have been swarming Wellington and New Zealand as a whole since the release of the first movie in the trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring. Building of a LOTR museum has been delayed in the past due to the refusal by JRR Tolkien's estate.

Both Jackson and the man responsible for the film's special effects, Richard Taylor have been trying to get a permanent home underway for the thousands of models and costumes from the film. Taylor said that building the museum is "...a long path."
