A hacker from Kazakhstan was convicted of trying to extort $200,000 from New York mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The hacker threatened to release secret information he obtained from Bloomberg's financial information company, unless he was paid the amount of $200,000.

The hacker faces 20 years in federal prison if convicted. He yelled obscenities at prosecutors and made other disruption's in court. The extortion scheme happened before Mr. Bloomgberg was elected Mayor.
