Based on legally downloaded music, the first official download chart has been released. Westlife took the number one spot with Flying Without Wings, which was re-released for the occasion.

BBC Radio One counted down the chart and it will be a regular feature from 6pm-7pm Wednesdays.

Many fear that the new download charts will see the end of many record shops and replace the traditional top 40.

Over two million legal downloads of music tracks have taken place since January this year.

Blazin Day by Blazin Squad took the second spot, both that track and that from Westlife were download exclusives.
