I was cleaning my room (one time a year thing) and i moved my subwoofers for my truck <img border="0" alt="[[censored]]" title="" src="graemlins/[censored].gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Bust a Cap]" title="" src="graemlins/cap.gif" /> .. they was placed right behind my monitor... i come home from vacation today and turn the monitor screen had turned purple and one side of the screen is taller than the other... I know the magnet from the subs prolly [censored] it... can i fix it?
I've done that before, and I had to make it magnitised equally around the whole screen, but just try moving the wigger noise devices and see if it clears up on its own...

I never really sat them down next to it.... i just acciedentally moved it in the area... good thing its an old pos monitor that i dunt really care for... i still dont have the cash to replace it at the moment ;(
You can get the same effect from a telephone... bring yoru normal phone near the monitor, take it off the hook and it'll cause a small reaction...
check in the monitor settings, where you have tint, vhold can change the screen size and all that stuff maybe its in a panel on your monitor or buttons on the front to see if theres something called "degauss". It will reset the polarity in the coil around the tube. If it doesent you can always just grab a magnet and try to do it by hand if it doesent eventually wear off, but you could just [censored] it up even more if you dont know what your doing.
no, that wont do. if your monitor has the option, degauss it, that will reset all the electron guns. if not, just put a magnet near your monitor and like drag the spot away, like into a corner. itll disappear after a few times.
Too bad TVs don't have degauss!
yeh degauss is [censored] awesome... and some TV's do have it but only like HD i believe, but not all.

tis monitor is old as hell, no way it has degauss.... all the options are lil dials inder the moniotr where u turn right or left to adjust light dark.. lah lah, the old [censored]. Ill try the monitor thing another time.... i have 2 other good monitors next to it
