Patriotic Web Designer Wanted: - 10/07/04 05:36 PM

Hi,

I need a very simple, (and very cheap) one page, pure html template that would be themed around military truck driving, i.e. Army semi trucks in the Iraqi desert.

I'm a US Army web designer putting together a site for the Army, but I'm using my funds for the template as I'm not a great designer/artist, my specialty is scoring well in the search engines as well as writing content. This site will be the only presence on the web for military transport. I expect this site to get tons of traffic as military transport jobs are becoming the most needed in the war on terrorism and a ton of other sites are going to want to link to me, including official US Army sites.

If you can help me, in addition to buying the template if the price is right, I'll be glad to give you a link back. I expect the PR and traffic on this site to be fantastic.

Please let me know if you can do anything for me.

Thank you.

Sgt. Stacy Foster,

Spec Vance Signal support system spec here. Well I was. 4 years 31 weeks Regular US army Ft. Campbell Ky. 42223 "Air Assault!!!"(Yea right)

Okay you want a pure HTML template, Sooo none of the following?

CSS http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/
JavaScript http://www.mozilla.org/js/language/
XML http://www.w3.org/XML/

The reason I ask is this. If you rule out CSS you are giving up much style and if you rule out XML you will have to re-do it in a few years. XML will also work well with your search engine.

I assume this will be a data base back ended web site. Are you using SQL, MySQL, SQLi, Oracle, Sybase, Alpha, or something else?

How do you want the template?

a.) broken up in to 3 pages
1.) Header
2.) Footer
3.) Mid section

b.) one page (you get the idea)

c.) something else

Short links to images okay? or must we use long links?

What scripting language are you using? ASP, JSP, PHP, Perl, or something else.

Last but not least... Your deal line? When do you present this to the old man(CO I assume)

Answer these and I will have a better idea.
