Music Download Talks Ended by Microsoft - 10/05/05 09:48 PM

Computer giant Microsoft announced today that it has broken off talks with 4 major record labels to launch flat rate download music service as it considered royalty demands demanded by the music labels to be excessively high.

Microsoft currently offers music via MSN music at $.99 a song however considered that a monthly flat rate service would have been more successful.

Competitors Apple currently control three quarter of the download music marked with their iTunes however they too have run into problems over royalties sought by music labels in recent months.

Greedy record bastards, and they wonder why we stopped BUYING music, it's because they never lowered the fucking costs of the cd's in the first place... We're not dealing with a "brand new" type of media here, yet they cost it as if we are still...
