Reuters has confirmed it was forced to temporarily shut down its instant messaging service after it was infected by the Kelvir-U virus that is currently targetting MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger services.
The Kelvir-U had previously posed no threat to Reuters� IM service, whose security is tightly controlled. According to security company Imlogic, the incident is the first infection reported by a privately controlled community.
