hmmm, i was wondering about speeds of a cd burner... lets say u were copying music at 1x (sad).. would that be the same speed the music plays at. ex: a 3min track would take 3min to copy.

yes, not counting the read time.

absolutely not. The speed that a file is played has nothing to do with the speed that it is read from the CD. The speed it is read is dependant on the quality of the CD and cd reader.

If I remember correctly, I remember reading that 1x means it's the same speed as the original CD-Roms, 2x is twice as fast, 3x is three times as fast. Etc.

Thats kinda like the same deal with DVD Burners.
You cant compair the diff of a burning speed on a dvd burner to a cd- burner.
Like 4x in dvd burning isnt the same as 4x in cd-r burner.
This is different because of the size of the cd.
cd-rs are usually 700 mb, dvd is what? 4.7 per side?
