Well, you can read the official and highly technical standard specification in the RFC:

http://serialcoders.sytes.net/Download/RFC/rfc765.txt

But you might prefer to search on www.google.com for something easier to understand.

Dunno what FXP is.
FXP stands for File eXchange Protocol. It is almost the same as FTP (File Transer Protocl), but the big difference is that FXP transfers files between 2 ftp servers, so these transfers can go very fast.

Well well, lookes like we have a FXp'er over here wink
That's wierd though. FTP supports file transfer between servers. FTP is incredibly powerful protocol. All you have to do is setup a client session with both servers and tell one server to send a file to another server which you tell to listen for it.

Ammm and someone have a site about FXp
i want 2 learn how 2 setup my ftp that i will do fxp....
yeah man, we heard you the first time. Give it some time for somebody to happen to know a good FXP site for ya.

Or are you wanting me to search on google for you? You know I would for ya if you want. I'll spend like 5 minutes of my time searching for you even though you could do it just as easily as I can. How does that sound to you?

safe SR....

will you do google searches for ME if I ask nicely lol :p
Your fpt server has to support the FXP protocol (example: serv-u). If you want to enable FXP, just go trough the ftp server setting, it will be there (if it is supported offcourse)

Oh and your next question probably will be, where can i find a ftp client that supports FXP, so i'll answer that right away. flashfxp
yeh i've used FXP before, its good in some aspects, but for a newb you'd be better off with an ftp client unless you were say transfering files from a T3 to an OC connection via a 56k lol...
Err gizmo, your connection speed isn't important for FXP'ing lol, you can even transfer with a 14.4k, from a 100mbit to a 100mbit at a speed of 1mb+/s rofl
lol i know, i was making a point <img border="0" alt="[[censored]]" title="" src="graemlins/[censored].gif" />
