Tools->Internet Options->Content->Autocomplete

Uncheck all the boxes, or only a few if you still want some to work.

Thanks Mornse that did the trick...lost my UGN pass in the process, but it was only a minor set back

/me scratches head
I would have suggested using netscape or mozilla instead, but that's just me

I'm starting to agree. With the latest two exploits for IE that will let a website run code on your comp ( ie 'format c:'), and the fact that MS is only gonna fix ONE of them, I just don't have faith in IE anymore.

here's the bullitin on the first
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/b ulletin/MS02-065.asp

and info on the second

With MS refusing to fix the latter, I think it's time to say bye bye to IE.

sum

Netscape and Mozilla are annoying as hell, which is why i don't use them.

I haven't tried Opera because of the ads in it. I am gonna try that one that used to be IE Opera that they mentioned on TSS, I forget the new name though. I will post a link to it here if no one else does.

http://www.avantbrowser.com/ is the browser i was thinking of

I have heard nothing but good things abotu Pheonix. A spin-off of the Mozilla project that is supposed to be the fastest browser ever created. I have a couple friends that are using it and they are all trying to convert me. All this from a browser still in beta.

Edit: My bad, forgot a link. http://www.mozilla.org/projects/phoenix/

That happends to everyone's topics except for mine [no one responds to mine]...

lol.

I downloaded Avant Browser, that i mentioned above, and I love it. It has all the site windows inside it, has cool mouse shortcuts, is faster than ie (not much on my computer though) and is generally better than all the others I have used.

I might try Phoenix. I hate the bigass button stuff in netscape and mozilla though.
