Pizza Schmizza, a Portland, Oregon pizza chain is paying homeless people to hold signs that say: "Pizza Schmizza paid me to hold this sign instead of asking for money." The restaurant gives them some money, pizza and soda in return.

A homeless man comments: "I think it's a fair trade. We're career panhandlers, that's the only other way we can get money." The founder of Pizza Schmizza says that the intent is to help the homeless while evoking humor.

Advertising experts say people are bombarded with ads so more companies are trying to be creative to win peoples' attention. Gary Ruskin, who works with a group affiliated with Ralph Nader, says the homeless people should get minimum wage.
