Britney-worse poet than singer. Is this possible? - 11/17/04 02:50 AM

Britney Spears, fresh off her honeymoon with new hubby Kevin Federline, has written a poem to commemorate the epic event.

Robert Frost she ain’t: the belly-baring pop star rhymes “smilin’” with “island.”

A sample stanza from “Honeymoon Poem” which Spears has posted for fans: “A meal, a shower and some ice cream/Then I threw my man down, you know what I mean!”

Meanwhile, rumors continue to swirl that Spears is pregnant — her spokeswoman continues to deny or hedge.

Gossips are saying that’s why she plans to take some time off from touring and why the formerly blonde vixen has gone brunette: so that the chemicals from the dye don’t harm the supposed baby.

Honeymoon Poem

A honeymoon at last, to get away from it all
My assistant Fe gave me the call.

I remember it well, as she was smilin'
She said it was called Turtle Island.

I packed my bags light and quick,
Then grabbed my pink dress & favorite lipstick.

We hopped on a plane and took our flight
I slept really well, all through the night.

As we arrive, I turn and look out the door,
People are greeting us right at the shore.

A meal, a shower and some ice cream
Then I threw my man down, you know what I mean!

Magical nights filled with stars
Silence is golden, no running cars.

Private dinners, romantic fires
Little piece of heaven, whatever your heart desires.

Friendly "hellos" and never goodbyes
When you're having fun, oh, how time flies!

As we sit and prepare to make our part
I thank you, Turtle Island, with all my heart!

I guess I'll take one for the team here. I'll take the fake-boobied hoe, and the rest of you can fight over the others.

*BLARF* That is the worst poem I have ever read, including my own. My eight year old daughter has more of an imagination in poetry. If you liked that you should read Jeff Hardy's infamous works. link
It a poetic POV, it is horribly written, the rhythm is bad. The rhyme scheme sucks, it sounds too forced. If I wrote something like that I would NOT be proud of it. But then again us lowly poets never get published, only those who are celebs get honours for their work.

I have a Kirsten Dunst wallpaper from Esquire on my computer right now. At least that airbrush person didn't get rid of any nipple on this one. ;x
