In the Italian town of Reggio Emilia, it is now officially against the law not to pamper your pets, following a new bill being passed which regards the treatment of animals in the town. The law comes into affect next week.

Under the law, owners of a canary, for example, must buy the bird a companion, so it does not get lonely. Dog owners must provide suitably roomy kennels in their gardens, in a shady area. Anyone not complying with the law may be fined up to 500�.

The law even covers the cooking of lobsters, it is now illegal to throw a live lobster into boiling water, they must be killed first. Also, you are no longer allowed to artificially colour the fur of your pet.

LMAO ok, that's all totally...[censored]...human treatments of lobsters, you can't color your pet. But wtf how is this a law not to pamper your pets. Are they saying it's a law that requires you to pamper them, and their using a double negative or some [censored]? I do agree with the more space, and friends for them though heh. But think about if you had to do that for cats, dogs, all kinds of animals, then what about needing 3? for if one gets mad at the other one, or one isn't putting out? Heh, freakin italians.
