A first grade teacher at Annabel C. Perry Elementary School in Florida told students that Santa does not exist. This upset many parents, causing the school to intervene.

Joe Donzelli, who handles community relations for the Broward County School Board, says "We made a phone call to the North Pole and as soon as Santa Claus heard what happened he decided he would drop everything and make a trip down to South Florida."

Now Santa will visit the class of students which was told he does not exist.

I knew "Santa" was fake in grade one. Am I the only one? Who cares if hes real or fake at one point in time he was real which is why we have presents on the birthday of the son of god, in Christian and other religious faiths. So now that ol' saint nick is dead everyone likes to tell the story of a man who dressed in red, wouldn't black be less promiscuous, and went around giving gifts on the son of god's birthday when the king ruled against it...blah, blah, blah, etc, everyone knows the story. So what's wrong with the truth? Are 7 year olds too young to know some guy who lived hundreds of years ago is dead, and his memory remains in the spirit of Christmas? I don't get the "big deal" of why kids shouldn't know that, although a great man, saint nick is long gone, except in our hearts and memory...and the ocasional story book and gift shop.
i found out santa wasn't real when i was 5. i don't think it is the place of a teacher to decide when a kid should learn the truth about santa.
i learned stanta wasnt real at a christmas party at the grocery store my mom worked at when i was 6. one of her friends was santa and i called him on it and he told me he was santa when i knew it was him. that kind of pisses me off!!! that jerk ruined it for me!!! i had at least 2 more years to belive in the fat guy!!!! *runs to bed and cries*
Why does this sound like the title to an article at the Onion to me? :x
haha ... it does Unreal.

I found out santa wasn't real when I was little. Don't remember what age exactly. But I had lost a tooth, and the Tooth Fairy didn't come! My mom then had to explain that the Tooth Fairy didn't exist. That is was really her and she just forgot to put money under my pillow the night before. I remember sitting on my stairs crying and saying "Oh, so I suppose Santa and the Easter Bunny are fake too?" my mom confessed and then I was pissed and referred to her as "Liar" the rest of the week. I was mad that she lied to me. It was devastating to me. I thought I could trust my own mom. I know, a little dramatic for a kid, but I was a weird kid.
Santa is fake?
