"True Fantasy" Xbox Role-Playing Game Scrapped - 06/04/04 08:45 PM
The Microsoft Corporation has announced that is scrapping the development of the "True Fantasy" role-playing game, citing that the company could not make the game a "novel" experience as initially promised.
"True Fantasy Live Online" was being developed for the Xbox console, and had been actively promoted over the last two years. It was supposed to be a revolutionary console game, where thousands of people could play simultaneously.
It was being developed in Japan. Microsoft Japan's spokesperson, Asako Miyata, said that "Currently we do not have a certain prospect for completion so it was decided to halt development." The release of the game had already been delayed twice.
