Hi,

I am new, as if you didn't already know.

Here is my problem. I need to call somebody across the country, to verify something, from a specific phone number. The problem is that there is know way for me to use this phone number without breaking and entering. Which I'm not about to do. Is there anyway possible for me to use another phone, such as a pay phone, and make this person think I am calling from the real phone number.

Also, how would this person know what phone I am calling from? Caller ID. Anyway to block it?

I've read plenty of FAQ's and haven't found anything for this kind of stuff. If I can't get an answer here I guess I'm screwed mad .

Thanks for reading this <img border="0" alt="[thumb]" title="" src="graemlins/thumb.gif" />
what the [censored] kinda of credit card scam are you doing ?

jack into his local TNI, find out what line is his, disconnect his line and hook up your homebuilt linemens set.

and *67 blocks caller ID. sometimes, if they allow blocked numbers to call. you can also try op diverting.

hell, i saw just use a calling card. they have no idea where you are calling from.
[censored] that, just spoof the ANI through an orange box :x... Too bad bellsouth hates upin or i'd teach you a trick lol...
thanks for help guys. I don't have a clue what your talking about unfortunately. But if it would work I will try my hardest to get it done. Could you explain a in a little more detail what you are talking about, or better yet just tell me a good place to find out for myself.

By the way I am calling from Florida. The local phone company is Bell south. I think the next county over uses Verizon?? And I am calling to Seattle, WA

Who said anything about a scam?

Thanks again

lmfao, dude just go buy a 5$ calling card....
I need to make it so that thier caller ID shows a diffrent name and number. How can I do that with a calling card? I also downloaded this program called S.O.B. caller ID generator. will this work and how exactly would I use it. I also heard somthing about calling TELUS.
don't break into the place, just use a beige box outside of there house to get complete access to there phone line.
you guys are telling him about beige boxes and oranage boxes etc, he has no clue what they are (so he said). LOL just ask to use someone's cell phone for a minute. Unless he can learn how to build/use a box then i think best if he uses someones phone in a office, house etc, or a calling card.
hKzKnight has a point I am sure he has no idea what the hell you are talking about with beige, and orange boxes. SHOtime, either have a look at some info on building these boxes, and the How To, on the use of them. Or another approach, well first off, does the number that he see's u calling from have to be a specific number ?, if not use a calling card, cause it'll show up as a a different number, (A routing number for the calling card) or block the number. If it has to be a specific number, and depending whether u know the ppl who own that line, ask them if you can use there phone, or if you do not know them, you can always lie...to them, "Hi, my car broke down just outside ur house do you mind if I use ur phone to call a friend to help me" ppl seem to have the nature of helping others these days.
rofl, you have SOB? You do realise that you'd have to purchase a $950 piece of hardware to use it correctly no?

BTW, hKz S.O.B. (Software Orange Box).
ok, tell us your whole scam so we can understand what the [censored] your trying to do here.
Thanks for the great response.

Yes it does have to be a specific number that I need have show up on their caller ID.

$950 piece of equipment!! I guess that idea won't work.

Asking to use the person's phone would be a bad idea. I really don't want to meet this person face to face.

Beige boxing seems pretty simple though. All I need is a phone and alligator clips. The problem is that I don't no if I can get into their phone box outside the house. My phone box has this weird screw; it is a hex screw that has a little peg sticking up right in the middle. I have no idea where to get a tool like that. Nor do I have a way to bore out a allen whench.

What about op diverting. I have read about it before. Any ideas on that?

Crime, if I told my plans I would have to be a idiot.

Thanks again
Use a knife or screw driver to get the box open...hell even blue tac will work!

There are two sides to the box, the right side is accessable with a flat tip screwdriver. It appears that it has one cover. The small, flat tip wcrew under the weird hex nut will open the cover to the whole box. Inside, on the right, is the jacks I am reffing and a closed inner box with another weird little hex on the left.

Inside contains 2 normal phone jacks that are wired to the in house wiring. (Most phone wire is 6 pair wire. It takes two of these wires for a phone to work.)

Usually, the top phone jack is the active jack. Unplug the jack that is in it, plug in any phone that does not need external power ($10 at wallyworld or ratshack).

Feel free to dial your favorite hotline.

These beige boxes will be on the outside of the house. I have never seen one inside since the phone company needs access to them (with exception of some of the older apartment buildings).

Don't forget to plug the house jack back in and enjoy messing with your ex-wifes head LOL.

Edit - Sorry, I didn't snap to the date on this thread...
if all else fails, do what i do, take out every single mother f***** in the room
Listen People......

Picture caling some one from any number in the world. Well now you can. This is an example of how to mimic a free up or any kyoceria cell phone.

Step one...

Enter programming seq. normally 111111
security code: 868666,531555,000000,111111
one of those numbers should work. If not simpally call up customer srvc and tell them you need to reporgram.

Step 2
go in to NAM 2 settings

goto the number and change your number. press ok then power the phone off. Now on most freeup phones if you go in tonetwork settings you will see like a 000-000-0046 under seccond phone line. Well switch to that but it will be what ever u change the nam 2

now it is all set.And how to get free minutes while you are in Digital Roaming which you will be when you switch phone lines you can place free 1800 calls so just simpally buy a phjone card and call who you want to call with your new number. It works greawt when you convince a police dept that you are a deranged man in their bathroom who taps phones... lol laugh

ROTFL... Spanky; you do know that I'm one of Lucky225's best friends right? lol.... kinda entertaining to see his pages there... In fact, I believe that verizonfears.com is forwarding there (I own the domain on his behalf; he's sorta paranoid).

How old are you ? TOOLS can be aquired at any hardware store(i.e. Home Depot Ace Hardware).....An don't damage the screw on the box outside cause U leave "Trace" evidence.....an evidence of tampering....
my god you ppl drug up a old post lmao. yea giz lucky is a cool dood I remember when that kid was 12, and consuming knowledge. I was 15 or 16 on a landline. Man ppl it's called a TNI, not a beige box. Boxes are boxy but used for telecomunications acceesing. Like uh the spike box:X the red box(really known), blue box, white box, pizza box, etc etc. I used to have a 300 text file set of box schematics, that explained each. but as to "beiging" a tni is a telephone network interexchange or some whoozle, and the beige box is the one conecting to the tni's leads. red ring, green tip. match for polarity. Um, rj-11 sockets on most tnis now, cabs connect tnis to bigger cabs that go to your c.o. central office. The cabs carry telephone leads for every house, and in some cool cities rj-11 connections. cabs are those open up "cabinets" that your telco linesman fools with with a hat, a lines man handset(official telephony beiege box, most made by harris.). Bla bla, anyway the hex set for that screw next to the phillips or flat head one, that covers the bigger exchanges/relays is 8/16th's I believe. either way most any american tool set, allen wrench or not has socket sets, grab a hex sided socket(almost all are), and test it. the other size of hex is for the cabinets. Telcos were using orange double sided hex keys a few years ago, I bet they still do. they lock [censored] up. their bolt cutters go str8 through those locks:D As do most of your parents/friends cutters. Some real phreaks started using doubles to keep the ppl's rj-11 connectors connected so they'd just hear someone pickup, and could run off. Mostly west coasters. Some rain long lines of wire from the tni, and hid. When if ppl went to the tni, they'd already be gone:D Most cops still don't understand or know what telephony equipment is...which is sad...considering it resembles a phone, and phone equipment:D obvious. Anyway why the long post on boxing, and beiging? I think the ugn archive has info there if ppl need it, yet hardly anyone GOES THERE:D lucky just showed the orange box at h2k not to long ago, and it took the hell off. as with his writings in 2600. he's a cool dood, laid back, but yes like gizmo knows were all paranoid. but the op diverting text I think syntax listed lol that's WAY OLD. lol back when ppl frauded MCI. Just after AT&T. Well the info. Double op diverting to get a carrier to 3 party bill your number which could be gov, and gov area codes can't be billed lol. stuff like that. blue boxing used to be fun. trunk cease, dial other coutries. Back before a lot of ppls times, mechanical switching system tricks were fun. Confing before their were conf services. I remember being on my rotary talking up a storm, connecting other callers, who daisy chained to others. back when I had a 486 lol.

not even like 5-7 years ago ppl weren't afraid of all this, and to most of the scene this was known information, and [censored] it still is. Beiging, calling tricks. I used to watch companies for changes on their services, and lines just to watch exploits work again, or new ones, etc. Most everyone in giz/my circle, and the ones we knew, were paranoid, and loners in most cases. Even though we were open, and shared. few even now know lol. Yea yea...fun times...you all don't want to listen to old phreak stories:)

But I can say lots is still not known, lots never got over used, lots still works. Heh I know giz, and I both know quite a few tricks we'll probably pass onto are kids. If the telephony systems last that long:X....if...Maybe not. Also the shelf life of a exploit is dependant on many things. But I know some that are 10 years old, and still work, a couple cherry 12 year old secrets that are only known to a few ppl lol. Like someone already said here, seek, search, and ye shall receive. Ppl have become UBER lazy it seems. o god this is like my old postings lol I got excited:D giz I bet is all *EYES HURT* lol, everyone loves a long paragraph rant right?=P
LOL @ weeve yeah man that was great!! Long but worth the read. Dont get me started on cops and stuff and known exploits..I have not been into too many boxes but I know most of the older ones were using red/green pairs. When we hooked up my DSL back in late 99 early 2000 we used the black and yellow pairs for this. May help dunno but its easy to remember red/green. rj11 in a box!! Man must be nice.
