Just finished reading a quick text on it, never heard of it before, but sounds like a fun thing to try as long as you don't kill yourself doing it

http://isuisse.ifrance.com/emmaf/anarcook/blotbox.htm

If someone ever does try, tell me how it went....

lmfao, a hot box is better

The Blotto box appears to be nothing more than a myth

Applying a lil math....

I = A*(log(1 + (Tm-Ta)/(234+Ta))/33*s)
Where I = current in Amps, A = cross sectional area n circular mils, Tm = melting temperature of the material in C, Ta = ambient temperature, also in C, and s = time in seconds.

Te melting point of copper is about 1083 C

Simply put, the wires in the system would simply melt due to that much amperage being put through the lines (way before you could put out the whole area code).

But if some one builds one and gets it to work, please let me know. ;-)

It is and always was a myth. Jesus, I didn't think people would have to resort to math to be convinced of that.

It was just a way to say dumb [censored] without saying dumb [censored]...

Well I never looked into the math on the whole operation (I have better things to do) just glanced at the text, thought Hrmm, that would be interesting, and continued my day.......

highlander my friend, you are a stooge

A stooge, Hrmm and why is that Crime.......

So how much current/power CAN you run back through the lines without them melting?

I would do the math but I have suspicions your formula is b0giz. If not, I can do math...

Just curious, I'm not in a position to phreak anything here... I think much of my location is already too "watched" even though I'm out in the middle of nowhere... got DSL tho w00t

Looking at ur Formula there Decay, and it just does not seem to make much sense, I would explain why but gotta get to work, re-check ur math

I don't know much about conductivity or that temperature melting point crap in your equation, but if Copper melts, wouldn't it make sense to build it using an equally conductive but much stronger material? I do know that copper isn't exactly that durable, whereas something like steel may be able to conduct the same amount of Amps or Ohms or Watts or whatever. Just a thought, not really sure, just thought I'd throw it out there.

I think the Blotto Box is the best box ever thought of being made
