Hillary Clinton is In to Win - 01/22/07 04:21 PM
Sen. Hillary Clinton has announced she will be running for the 2008 presidential elections by posting "I'm in" on her Web site. Her announcement comes exactly two years before the next president will be inaugurated on January 20, 2009.
If she wins she'll be the first woman US President and of course the first presidential spouse to win as well. Also Sen. Barack Obama and Gov. Bill Richardson if they win would become the first African American and Latino president, respectively.
Hillary says she wants to bring "the right end" to the war in Iraq, reduce the deficit, make health care affordable and make the country energy independent. "After six years of George Bush, it is time to renew the promise of America," she said.
