A MySpace web page containing a 'hit list' was found after a high school student whose name was on the list notified his principal. Principal Tommy Layne said he first thought it was a joke. The page has since been removed.
The event apparently began with a paper list removed from a trash can, and expanded to end notably with six arrests, all girls aged 14 and 15. The charge is conspiracy to commit criminal homicide. There is no evidence that the girls had weapons.
Names on the list included students, student athletes, and faculty at the school, as well as Oprah Winfrey, the Energizer Bunny and Tom Cruise.
