Man Falls from Balcony -- Impales Groin - 01/30/07 06:41 PM
An unnamed man in his early 20s fell off the balcony of a house in Carlton, a suburb of Melbourne in Australia, in the early hours of this morning, local time. The man landed on a steel fence and impaled his groin area.
The man freed himself with the help of emergency services officers who arrived on the scene and was taken to hospital in a stable condition. Fire fighter Craig Calwell said: "We didn't use any rescue equipment. We supported him and he freed himself�"
And added that "He suffered a wound in the groin area and lost a bit of blood. It was quite unfortunate."
