So what's your favorite game on the linux platform?

I had to use emulators for a bunch of them... Yet Quake 3 is a classic for kick [censored] *nix games.

*note* keep in mind, keep on topic. Post your fav games on linux, not what platform to get, or if nix sux for games. No offence, yet I don't like getting off. My favorite servers for playing awesome games online, they are linux based...

thats my point linux is great for servers. thats what its built for what its meant for. why do you think loki went out of buisness? because gaming on linux is so popular?

Don't really need loki any more. A lot more games are having their own version for linux or have patches, or even multi OS platform on just one cd. Loki also didn't have all the legal rights to some of their work. Yet I rather play games online under linux then win. Windows crashing when in a good kick [censored] server, well it gets to me. I like how linux is stable and how it doesn't eat my ram. So in my opinion I would choose Linux for gaming then win, yet that is all on views... No one is right or wrong... Yet to keep us back on topic, what do you like to play on linux (anybody!). Def Quake and unreal series is kickin [censored] for it. See if Postal 2 is also gonna be on *nix.

I've been meaning to download the source for Unreal Tournament and compiling. As for favorite game, I'd have to go with the text based dopewars.

Why? Because people are amazed when you ssh to your box from school and play dopewars...and what else is there to do at school? Learn? HA! stupid
