In an attempt to make the site function faster all around, we've decided to go the route of HTML gradients instead of image gradients; they're a little harder to work with, but the result pays off with not having to load additional images.

The caveat is that, since they're harder to work with, the color scheme had to be slightly updated to work with them.

We also added support for the Font Awesome (an icon set font) for generating all of the little icons on the site which where previously

Linux System Progress

June 2nd, 2016
I'm happy to announce that I just put the finishing touches on the initial draw-up of the Linux section here at UGN Security. The control panel took a little longer to work out the logic, but now that it's out of the way staff can manage the entries without diving into the database, and users can submit items from the main site.

Captcha System

May 29th, 2016
This week (May 29th, 2006) we're preforming maintenance to the Recaptcha subsystems on the site; this means that all submission and contact pages are currently not working (you'll be unable to submit content as the return value from the server will always be invalid). We'll update the listing below as items are ported. We're planning for the maintenance to be completed by the end of the week, but it may take a little longer for some systems.

Linux Section Progress

May 16th, 2016
The Linux section has had it's last public page modifications done today and should be operating as intended. All of the data supplied is from the GoNix Initiative website, which will be decommissioned soon (see the previous update here).

It took quite a while to figure out how to make the systems work, as it's combining 4 sets of data into one large system (as opposed to one set of data like our standard site systems). Plus getting all of the JavaScript, RSS, SiteMap, XML Syndication Pages,

After reworking the Facebook PHP API to the Facebook JavaScript API, the Gallery has been restored; it still pulls and functions in much the same way, but will be quicker and will actually work (it's been broken for some time).

Also, the Lightbox and PHPMailer scripts have been updated to the latest builds available.
