A 39-year-old bus driver, who strangled a 18-year-old girl, because she refused to have sex with him, was jailed yesterday. When he noticed that she was the only passenger left on his bus, he drove her off the normal route.

When the girl told him she would call the police, he strangled her with her scarf and sexually assaulted her. After the crime, he dumped her body behind a drystone wall.

Later, when he returned to his depot, his fellow drivers noticed scratch marks on his face. The 39-year-old went back to the body and tried to hide it four miles away from the original place. Nine days later, the body was found.
